1. Use to tighten high-tensile wire. The amount of weight needed to tension wire will depend on the type of wire that chosen. As high tensile wire is normally tensioned to approximately 200-250 pounds. Wire Strainer should be installed every 2,000 to 2,500-feet. 
2. They can be operated easily from any angle with provision for threading wire through the Strainer hole in the frame & spool, saving an extra knot. 
3. It should be located in the middle of long runs of wire or between two corner posts. Be sure you do not apply too much tension to wire. Excessive tension will damage wire and may lift fence posts out of the ground in low spots.
